Editorial Review Policy

Our reviews only mean something if the method behind them is clear. This is how we assess each betting product and turn that into an editorial score.

What a review involves

We approach each product the way a regular bettor would: create or examine the betslip, move through the main sports, build a multiple, and read the terms. We describe features we can actually observe. We do not invent customer testimonials, people, or personal stories, and we do not repeat marketing claims we cannot see for ourselves.

The criteria and their weight

Every product is judged against the same five areas, each carrying a fixed weighting. The editorial score is built from these, then sanity-checked against comparable products so the numbers stay consistent across the site.

Market coverage & odds30%
Usability & mobile25%
Features20%
Terms transparency15%
Safer gambling visibility10%
  • Market coverage & odds. The breadth of sports and competitions, the depth of single-match markets, and how clearly prices are presented in the formats UK bettors use.
  • Usability & mobile. How quickly you get from event to betslip, how the in-play board behaves, and whether the experience holds up on a phone.
  • Features. Bet builders, same-game options and accumulator handling — how capable they are and how transparently returns are shown.
  • Terms transparency. Whether account, market and promotional rules are easy to find and written plainly, rather than buried.
  • Safer gambling visibility. How easy it is to find and use deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion, and whether support is clearly signposted.

What the score means — and doesn't

An editorial score is our considered opinion, out of ten, of how a product performs against the criteria above. It is not an official rating, an endorsement, or a prediction. It says nothing about your chances of winning, the value of any odds, or whether you will be paid out. Scores vary naturally between products because the products genuinely differ.

Independence from funding

Scoring is kept entirely separate from how the site is funded. Commission never buys a higher score or a softer write-up. The commercial side is explained in full in our Affiliate Disclosure.

Keeping reviews current

Betting products change, so reviews can date. We revisit them periodically and after notable changes, and we welcome corrections through the contact page. When a detail is wrong, we check it against the operator and update it. Even so, the operator's own site is always the final word on current terms, odds and markets.

Licensing and claims

We describe the brands we cover as UK-facing betting products. Where we have not independently verified a specific regulatory detail, we use cautious wording rather than making firm licensing claims. We do not promote unregulated angles or workarounds.
